Equipment information - Jenna
The Equipment to create our music video is very simple but used in the right way we can create the desired look for our music video.
We will use a canon video camera in order to film our music video. The camera is of high quality and creates a clear crisp image meaning our footage is of high quality.
A tripod is also needed to ensure the camera is stable. The camera is connected to the tripod and is a 3 legged stand for the camera. Tis will make sure that the camera is still meaning clearer and more stable images.
A dolly will be used for some of the shots. The tripod is connected to the dolly which are wheels that allow the camera and tripod to glide smoothly creating a clear film without jolts.
To edit our music video we will use iMovie. This is a high quality editing programme which will allow us to organise and edit our music video to how we would like it.
By using of all of this equipment we will be able to create a music video which will be of high quality.

Casting Information
Casting
is very important within a music video as if you do not have the right person
for that particular role then then
it is not going to look good therefore auditioning for the cast is essential to
make sure we have the correct actors/actresses. For our music video we are
looking for preferably a male because that’s what is seen within the actual
video and although we do not want to copy we think having a male will look
better with our storyline. However, we are auditioning females as well in case
we feel that they are better than the males in terms if acting/performing. We are
looking for someone who fits the ‘office job’ stereotype, someone who commutes every
day to go to work etc. we have not placed an age category of the type of person
we want as we feel this is not necessary, however above 18 is better.
The
type of person below is a basic character that would be ideal to fit into our
music video, this is due to the fact he’s dressed smart and looks like who is
the sort of person that works within the
city and gets the tube to work. This is perfect for us because we want to film
at London Liverpool Street and this is where they would be commuting.

Shot List
This will then be repeated to show the same old same old routine people go through being a 'slave to money' and working 9-5 shifts.

Audition Information
We cast our auditions recently and we are currently reviewing the results of the three auditions. There were three people who auditioned for the role, however only one can have the main role.
The first audition was by a female, we asked her to read a short script and then once that was complete we asked her to act 30 seconds of the plot we have in mind. This allowed us to see what she would be like when she is actually within the piece. Reviewing her auditioned we believe she was very good and have placed her as a strong possibility.
The next audition was by a male, who we asked to complete the same as the previous person, however we decided straight after the audition he wasn't right for the role due to the fact his acting skills weren't as we had hoped.
Lastly, another male had an audition and after reviewing him against the female we believed that he was correct for the role as his acting skills were very good and he looked like the person we had in mind.

Lighting Notes
Within our music video we are going to incorporate different variations of lighting, this ranges from high key to low key lighting. We are going to use high key lighting to connote present tense and low key lighting to connote the past tense. We believe this show the audience the difference between our characters life and how he use to live before he became homeless. As you can see below the difference between the two light variations and it clearly shows how they are used.

Location scouting
We have two locations that we are looking at, they are an office type place and somewhere that is run down and perfect for where homeless people go. We are looking at the four possibilities as we believe this will show the difference in lifestyles from when he was a well paid businessman to a homeless man.

Props Information
We plan to have a range of props within our music video as we believe this will be a good convention of the genre we are targeting and will make it clear for our audience members. Moreover, the first prop we are going to use is the use of a
